Abschied in Finnland - Immigration to Russia

for my english-speaking friends- Finnland was such a nice country and the Fins are so handsome , nice and friendly. We ve enjoyed ecpecially our stays in the great nature. I will miss Gerri a lot during my next travel. She was the best company and we had so much fun. We had often situation where i felt right back into our primary-school time. Laughing about the same silly situations and silly jokes...Great travel! Thanks Gerri, thanks Anna, thanks Finnland!

Russland

I took the train early in the morning from Helsinki. It was a quite weird mood at the station, a lot of people where still hanging around , caught by a nasty hang-over of the big vapuu-fiest the day before (a kind of celebration of the working-class and students, and whatever...)
The train conducters from Finnland were pretty friendly. Ask for "saksa" and i - proud to understand - smiled and said "Yes"! Checked my passport and i thought "okay, here we are".
Suddenly the russian-border-controles appears. With strict face they just shouted "passport!". They controlled, went away, and i thought "here we are"....
Then new russian controller showed up. Taking my passport and went away. I thought "okay, need some information now..." At this point i started talking to a dutch-guy sitting close to me "what the hell are they doing with passports?" He was able to speak some russian and told me that they will probably be back soon. After half an hour they went back, i got my id back. Lucky-me!
For the rest of the journey i had nice funny conversations with dutch-rob. And in St.Petersburg - my luck- i was fetched from the station by my nice host Nadya!!

So viel zur Einreise.
